Typhoon ‎Chedeng (international name: Maysak) has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It is expected to make landfall over the eastern coast of Aurora, Quezon, or Isabela by late Saturday or early Sunday.

Mindanao has officially set the Guinness World Record for most trees planted simultaneously at multiple locations: The new world record achieved the planting of 2,294,629 trees, carried out by 122,168 volunteers at 29 locations across Mindanao.

H.M.E.H. Fra’ Matthew Festing of the Sovereign Order of Malta will be in the country from today to March 7. He will be meeting the President on Tuesday.
The Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta, Fra’ Matthew Festing, will undertake an official visit to the Philippines from March 1 to 7. He will be meeting the President on Tuesday.

A new look (not to mention new toilets, facilities, and better airconditioning) for the terminal once referred to as one of the world’s worst airports.
This is the first time in 30 years that NAIA Terminal 1 has undergone considerable renovation and rehabilitation. Selected facilities in the terminal have been renovated while new facilities have also been added.
