Being #spiritual doesn’t solve #life challenges—paying the bills or getting along with your kids and husband—it only gives us a better overview of this #human experience, so when we are angry, sad or upset, we can #witness ourselves and eventually stop taking our #thoughts and #emotions so seriously.
The so called "spiritual path" might deter us from offering "honest feedback" in our relationships. It happened to me after participating in many retreats and self-help-empowering-seminars, at ashr...

Serving and pleasing are separated by a fine line. For example, I thought that I was serving my mom by giving her a blank check every month without considering the consequences in my budget. Why would I do something like that in my own detriment? Because…

My favorite way to take #care of myself is through #routines. What's yours? #writeitout5

Why can't we stay awakened? with author Jennifer Schuitemaker

From the studio of my radio show, Meaningful Connections (30 min): Jennifer defines “awakening” as a terminal condition for which there is no outside cure. In fact, she writes, “seeking outside remedies might even retard the process. It is impossible to…

I am an ordinary single mother of two. I thought that my life's purpose was to inspire women to find, nurture and speak clearly their intuitive and wise voices, until I realized that by focusing on helping others I was missing the point... that the only reason I'm alive is to outrageously be me, fearless and joyful. In order to embody this realization, I had to muster the courage to live beyond my culture and history, free from the past and innocent into the future. I finally understood that inspiring others was a side effect of simply living an authentic life.
Introduction

I was born in Venezuela. I have the honor to be the mother of two wonderful souls, who are my greatest teachers. I’m very happy with my life as is, but it wasn’t always like that.

I used to take suffering very seriously. I believed that the “no pain no gain” formula was the only way to fulfillment… until I took myself to the edge by opening a business, while giving birth to my second child, while my husband was loosing his job.

Since then, I’ve focused my attention in cleaning the space of my body by learning yoga and meditation, reading as many books as I can, and participating in all kinds of seminars from various spiritual masters.

This blog is about sharing my adventures toward a higher state of consciousness, an endless yet joyful road.

May my voice be the lullaby for those who are asleep, the first ray of light for those who are awakening, and the quiet sound of OM for those who are already aware.

Thank you for the opportunity to listen and being listened.
