I'm excited to be able to facilitate a session entitled "Creating Universally Designed Goals and Objectives" in June at the Cleveland State P-16 Summer Summit. Do you apply UDL to your instruction? I'd love to see examples of your learning goals and objectives for students! Seeking examples in K-12 and higher ed, any discipline or subject area will do!

Call for Proposals: UDL in Higher Education Conference
Deadline: December 1, 2016

You are invited to submit a proposal to present at the UDL in Higher Education Conference at the University of Memphis, May 8-10, 2017. This conference is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) on their campus. UDL can be applied in a practical approach to course design, including analyses of key learner variability issues, planning and design of flexible instruction and assessment methods, and the development of student-centered instruction through a variety of technologies. We welcome proposals that provide practical, tangible approaches to addressing these course design issues and learner diversity through UDL implementation.

Presentation types include: concurrent sessions (25/50 minute presentations, roundtable, panel), lightning round sessions (5-10 minutes), and poster sessions.

Submit a Proposal by December 1, 2016: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/10pxcg7rrvfgyr24EiuUPOBmTGX5nXumvqgC9HuXu1ho/edit

This article is mostly about accessibility, but that often goes hand-in-hand with UDL efforts. The content is strikingly similar to what is occurring on my campus.
