Doug Engelbart's dream was augmenting the human intellect via an interactive vehicle navigating through "thought vectors in concept space". (1967)

Since then we had ARPANET, then the Internet, then the World Wide Web, then Google, Wikipedia and Facebook. I guess Google search phrases can qualify as "thought vectors" and Wikipedia as a "concept space", but I don't think we're done innovating on the web.
