I took my car here for the first time to get an oil change. I was extremely impressed! I was immediately greeted by a mechanic, who took my car directly into the garage. After he popped the hood, he told me that with the oil change they fill all fluids accept brake fluid. It just so happens that mine was low. The mechanic explained that brake fluid can be low because the brakes may need replacing. He could have easily told me that both sets of brakes were through and needed immediate replacement, but he didn't. Instead, he was honest. My brake pads are fine; about half way through on the front and fine on the rear. No one tried to sell me anything extra. The oil was changed in less than 15 minutes and I was on my way. Great experience. I'll definitely be going back in 5,000 miles.

Brought my wife's Scion xB in for a quick oil change and a NYS inspection; while the wheels were off they showed me that the front brake pads would be in need of replacement soon (which made sense; given the mileage we'd traveled since the last swap). The price was right, and I let them do the work. I've been going there for quite a while, never had a problem.

Booooooooo! If I could give a negative review I would. My wife went here the other day and she called me right away upset. They tried to take advantage of her by PUSHING services she did not need. Needless to say she, nor I will ever go here again. They insulted her intelligence thinking because she was a woman that she doesn't know anything about cars. And when she refused their extra service they gave her a hard time.

I love it when they call you in the shop like its a big secret and sell you services you don't need or waste your money on cause they recommend it. What a joke

Took my car to Avis Lube on Saturday 2-21 for an oil change only. I specified oil change only to the attendant who took my car into the shop and then again when he tried to up sell me other products including a new Honda oil filter. I had a hard time understanding what he was saying to me as his accent was thick. I said again "oil change only". I thought he understood as he said "ok". However, when the car was finished and I was paying I was charged for the oil filter. When I told the cashier I did not ask for that and told the guy twice, oil change only, the attendant told me "don't' tell me tell the guy who did your car". So not only did I pay for something I did not want I feel the customer service at this shop leaves alot to be desired. I ended up paying for the filter because it was in the car already and out of the shop in the driveway. I told the cashier that he lost me as a customer and that did not even phase him. I guess they don't need the business.

Just got back from an oil change service. I got there exactly at 10AM and I was out around 10:15. The mechanic who worked on my car was honest with me and mentioned that I needed to get my brakes done, which was true, and he didn't try to shove it down my throat and make a sale. I told him I would check with the dealership and compare prices and he was completely fine with it he actually recommended it. They also saw that I had a bubble in my tire and recommended a place down the road which was also nice. Overall a great experience as I have nothing to complain about whatsoever. I think the mechanics name was Francisco.

They're on top of all the manufactures recommendations, makes my life easier than checking the owners manual as to when and what service maintenance needs to be done. Very important especially if your car is still under warranty.

Isn't there a lower rating than one star? My live in girlfriend went to Farmingdale Avis Lube and ended up paying over a hundred bucks when all she needed was a simple oil change. Her car was running perfectly and she brought the car in for oil changes more frequently than recommended under her warranty. The Manager Eddie convinced her that if she didn't flush her engine it would die at just 20,000 original miles and she would be left stranded on the side of the road. They also told her she needed a fuel injector cleaner that is available for five bucks at a local auto parts store. They added over a $70- in profit to an already overpriced service by scaring their faithful customer. Do yourself a favor and go to real mechanics.
