"Our beautiful planet sustains us with her love and care in many different ways. There is much we can learn from her if we recognise the Wisdom by which she teaches us through the processes of Life. Mother Earth knows how to balance and renew herself. This same power is within each of us. As her children she sustains us and provides the foundations for our growth and evolution. As our planetary Mother she teaches us by the processes of Life, through which we can learn to actualise our Wisdom Nature."

Herewith our article about the key issues concerning the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) project from a legal, humanitarian and environmental perspective. It also addresses the First Nations Treaty Rights, the growing 'divestment movement' for reducing our fossil fuel dependencies, and how international agreements such as the UN Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and the 2016 Paris Agreement can provide a larger framework for coordinating and aligning actions for the birth of this new movement arising from Standing Rock. Please share, thank you.

“Mon cœur bat la chamade, ma peur donne dans la démesure, je me sens piégée, la mort est là…le danger dans toute sa terreur nous enveloppe, l’air lourd se raréfie. Je suffoque et prie par désespoir, mais je sais que le destin est là, que rien ne pourra l’éviter.., c’est trop tard. Peut-on survivre à ce carnage, qu’est-ce qui en restera…? Pourquoi maintenant tandis que nous allions être totalement libres?" ...

"The Heart of the Maroon Quest comes from our Human Quest for Liberation from all that threatens our authentic ways of being. Our roots play an essential role in this Quest. By severing people’s roots we cut deep into the fabric of their identity. This also affects deeply the extent to which people can receive the wisdom support of their Ancestors. This support has traditionally been transmitted via our root systems from one generation to the next for thousands of years, if not longer. When people’s ancestral roots are severed they often create a new Tree that connects their roots in the shared experience of their suffering. This collective ‘new’ body will then hold the sense of belonging and identity that is born from the cutting away of the Tree of their Ancestral roots."

On our EARTHwise website we regularly post "Stories of Impact" that are linked with our Vectors of Love™ Initiatives. Here is a great article written by our partner, Alvin Athave, CEO of YUT Basketball.
Alvin uses his gift and passion for basketball to empower Youth in Mauritius and Seychelles, among others. As he shared in his article here: "My goal is to give to every kid the opportunity that I did not have when I was young and that it is to learn basketball at an early age and have a mentor who help them through life...Never stop dreaming, Never stop trying. We live only once."
Please support Alvin in his empowering work with Youth by sharing this article among your networks. Thank you.
