Sad news that RIM plan to retreat from the core smartphone market (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-17557177). I think this will be bad for consumers in the long run. The issue of course is largely down to the operating system which failed to keep pace with Android developments, coupled with higher prices for end users tied to BlackBerry internet services.
Another shell account for distributing rumours... This article is not true, RIM is not retreating from the consumer market. http://crackberry.com/reality-check-rim-not-giving-consumer-market.
