Question of the week:
How is my work different from Tellington Touch (TTouch/TTEAM)?

The Tellington Touch Method (which I have also had training in, and believe is very effective) "utilizes a variety of techniques of touch, movement and body language to affect behavior, performance, and health, and to increase an animal’s willingness and ability to learn in a painless and anxiety-free environment".

I work with the animal as a whole to achieve long-term healing results, looking beyond the symptoms, and focusing on the root cause of the illness, disease or issue. To do this, I employ "equine and canine therapies" including "acupressure, craniosacral, massage", as well as related modalities such as myfascial release, and "TTouch and TTEAM techniques" to aid the animal in releasing and improving areas of restriction and trauma, and facilitate in rebalancing the body. My goal is similar in that I aim to address the animal's physical and emotional issues, improve their overall quality of life, and maintain optimum health and balance of their bodies for the greatest performance and comfort. However, I am combining traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) healing techniques (as well as some relatively newer modalities), which enable both me and the animal to recognize the imbalance, and allow it to be addressed. These modalities permit us to identify the imbalance before it becomes a disease or problem, and also are important in preventative therapy to assist in maintaining an individual’s health.
