We make this our regular Friday Happy Hour Spot. Kelly is our server and Alex is a loyal assistant. The appetizers are yummy and they have nightly specials. It is a Sports Bar, so if you are going on a game night, get there early. If you are looking for a Large Shrimp Cocktail they are the place and the cocktail sauce is spicy. The large TV screens make it fun to watch with a large group of friends or just a couple. Sorry to see that the Skybox is now closed. We had many good times there for dinner and dancing. Looks like they are closed for remodeling and will now be the Harvest Restaurant. Opening sometime in August 2015

The strangest drama ever. Apparently Skybox is run like (or by) a dysfunctional family. My family and I went to watch the 2nd round finals basketball game between UofA and Ohio State. We ordered food which did not arrive in the first hour. So we keep watching the game. Our waitress came after that and apologized to say that the kitchen wasn't cooking her tables' food. Almost another hour passes when she says that the kitchen is still not cooking her food, and now she's leaving. She's near tears at this point. We look for a manager -- and *look* for a manager because no one showed up to our table -- to talk to about this SNAFU, but the only thing he says is, " I'm really sorry." Now, maybe it was all the waitress's fault, and she was incompetent or something. Fine. I doubt it, but fine. But as manager, it's ultimately your fault. You're not "sorry" so much as you take steps to (a) make it right and (b) make sure that customers repeat business. No one did that. Long to short on this: if all systems are normal, you might have an okay time here. I wouldn't know; I don't even know how their food is -- we never got any. But if things are less than smooth, you're not in good hands here. Management doesn't have the courage to take responsibility for the things that do go wrong. Avoid this train wreck. P.S. As our waitress was on her way out, I showed her the first sentence of tis review, and she said, "Yes, we *are* a dysfunctional family." To you, Dear Reader: please, don't support this abuse.

Very friendly and upbeat. Reminds me of one of the restaurants back home in the French Quarter except you smell the fresh desert at the Skybox and you smell the muddy Mississippi in the New Orleans French Quarter. Good band, good drinks and good food. I only give it 4 stars because I didn't see Louisiana Gumbo or the menu.

SkyBox is an excellent restaurant and bar with a new chef and great food. There is great music from 80's and Gentlemen with dancing on the weekends. If you're looking to watch a UofA game or any of your favorite sports, there are large televisions everywhere. A friendly staff and nice ambiance make the place an A+ in my book.

Skybox is a great stop in the foothills. The menu is perfect for a snack or full meal, great prices and always a diverse sport selection on the TV's that surround the bar. Speaking of the bar - spectacular - long bar, plenty of seating and big enough for private tables. No matter your age or interest, you'll find it at Skybox. Great meeting place for friends or if you're flying solo.

I dined at skybox last night and the food was fabulous. I had not visited skybox in a few months. I had heard there was a new chef and menu so I wanted to try it. I ordered the salmon it was excellent. The service was very attentive and the beer selection was great. I will definitely be going back.
