“Internet-facilitated child exploitation is one of the most horrific types of crimes a police officer has to investigate”

Thanks to Canada's law enforcement for their arrests and rescues!

More than 150 individuals have been arrested or are under investigation following a cross-country child exploitation probe that also led to the rescue of five children from sexual abuse.

There seems to be a recent surge in pedophile activity. Thank you to all those who help keep these deranged individuals from polluting G+. We have successfully shut down many accounts just over the past few weeks. And special thanks to those who take it a step further by making reports to the appropriate authorities.  A list of authorities can be found on the "about" section of this page. Keep up the great work! We are making a difference!

We wish them much success in cleaning up the cesspool and hope their boundaries quickly expand beyond Britain.

LONDON -- Google and Microsoft announced late Sunday that they have joined efforts to clean up search results in Britain. Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt wrote in the British Daily Mail newspaper that the two firms have worked together to keep searchers from getting results when using 100,000 queries that may be

There are many new communities cropping up each day devoted to the exploitation of children around the world. The usual response by decent people is to post these communities asking others to report them. And the question has arisen, whether this is the best practice.  We absolutely DO need to have these people reported. In response to this question I will copy an answer I recently gave:
___
That's a legitimate question and concern. Here is my experience and why "public outing" is not the best practice. When this page started we did so with the intent of rallying community members to mass report the pedophiles we found. And there was no shortage back in beta days. They have become more clever and sneaky now. We caused quite a warranted stir at the time and I was contacted directly by Google inc in a conference telephone call; they felt that I was spreading the word (giving publicity) to these people and groups. But I felt that was the price I was willing to pay to have them shut down. So we made an arrangement for me to contact them directly at the legal and abuse department at Google Inc (not G+) . I agreed on the condition I got a quick response or else I would go public again.

I was the only group of its kind at the time- there was no other Page or concerted effort or central group that rallied people around this so it worked out well. But it also meant much went on behind the scenes so +Plussers Against Child Exploitation  lost its public momentum. But we are still very active. And when you tag this page or send a message a report gets sent directly to the abuse department at Google Inc.

As a related anecdote, consider that last week a person who commented on an inappropriate photo ended up being in many people's circles, including my own personal one . I had no idea he was child predator!  He was reported by a local person to his local authorities and was arrested and remains in jail as he was on parole for crimes against children. This showed me how even sharing to our circles, we really have no way of knowing who we are providing with new contacts for their vile wickedness.

Please feel free to tag or PM me anytime. I also have provided resources on the About page to report people to authorities.

Thank you! .

Google email scan helps police arrest a sex offender
Google has long used automatic image scanning to fight online child exploitation, but it's now clear that this monitoring applies to email, too.

See Something, Say Something ~ Protect our children
Introduction
We believe in protecting our children through communication and a unified voice on G+. We are your daughters, sisters, mothers, fathers, brothers and speak for all children.

If you see a G+ profile that raises alarms, let us know and we will, upon review, share it with others.

Our mission is to report and remove community members who violate the child abuse TOS and  exploit children for sexual gratification. We also believe those who exploit children should be reported to the appropriate authorities.

If you believe what we believe, then follow us and share. We will not be circling others back, however.

If you would like to share a profile for us to review please contact us through our email. We will not be responding to emails, however.

PACE makes no claims about illegal activity by the profiles we highlight. We ask you to review the profiles for yourself and act upon them as you see fit.
