Pros: - red flannel hash (juicy, tender beef, crispy potatoes, gooey eggs... yummm) - quick and attentive service - wide, open, well-lit space Cons: - seemed like they were trying to rush us out during crowded brunch hours - the food was tasty, but now it seems forgettable Bottom line: great dining experience; reminds me why I love San Francisco. I'm not dying to return, but the hash is worth trying.

This is a great place to relax, have fabulously crafted cocktails, enjoy the professional and cheerful service, and eat really good food. Best to make reservations, it can get crowded. I'm looking forward to returning soon.

Came to Serpentine last weekend with a close girlfriend of mine. I absolutely loved the food and cocktails. The best part is that it has a relatively short wait for a Sunday brunch in the city and there's plenty of parking. We only had to wait 30 minutes, which is unheard of in San Francisco. I had some hash with braised beef, that was absolutely delicious. Their craft cocktails are also definitely worth checking out. My friend comes here regularly and I can definitely see myself putting this in my brunch rotation. A number of vegetarian options as well, which is a plus!

Serpentine is a cool place in the Dogpatch for brunch or dinner. The food is American / California inspired with many unique selections from pan seared chicken liver to cheese boards and gnocchi with oxtail. Mr and Mrs. Miscellaneous Ice Cream is across the street.

Was waiting for my mind to be blown…but it was merely a gust of satisfaction received from Serpentine. I made reservations on a Saturday which was super simple to do over the phone (no hassle yay!). When my party arrived 10 mins before our time we had a short wait and we were graciously seated. Service was pretty decent so I really can’t complain. I was craving the Dungeness Crab Benedict and from the online pictures I was pretty hyped. It was served with some amazing breakfast potatoes and an odd tasting salad (waaaay too earthy for me). The crab portion was measly and the biscuit was super cold. The whole dish was cold besides the egg on top. Our waitress was nice enough to get me a fresh plate which was a better rendition of the meal. I loved the lemon and hollandaise but everything else was just meh about the benedict. It was edible and believe me I ate it but wouldn’t be my first choice if I decided to go back. They do have a pretty diverse menu so that’s a plus…

Serpentine is a cool place in the Dogpatch for brunch or dinner. I've been here for dinner a couple of times and it's always a homerun. The place is very industrial with high ceilings. The food is fresh California cuisine with an international flair. Service is exceptional! I am impressed by their unique selections from pan seared chicken liver to cheese boards and gnocchi with oxtail. Everything is fresh, locally grown and delicious. Mr and Mrs. Miscellaneous Ice Cream is across the street.

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Almost 5 stars. The food is fresh and creative (but not so much so, that you don't know what you're eating). American / Californian cuisine at it's best. Seasonal salads that will knock your socks off. Oysters that burst with flavor. A classic hamburger that will take you back to your youth. All this enhanced by an array of cocktails that will lighten your mood and put a smile on your face. A truly great space...but it can get a little crowded. I suggest arriving early (like when they open) and having dinner at the bar.
