An inspirational woman of science has died. She will be missed.

"Kwolek is the only female employee of DuPont to be awarded the company's Lavoisier Medal for outstanding technical achievement. She was recognized as a "persistent experimentalist and role model.""
Police Lt. David Spicer took four .45-caliber slugs to the chest and arms at point-blank range and lived to tell about it. Like thousands of other police officers and soldiers shot in the line of duty, he owes his life to a woman in Delaware by the name of Stephanie Kwolek.

Trying to post from my phone. The program won't let me post.

I can do word posts but not photo posts. I just posted the photo I wanted to post from my android tablet. As near as I can tell they are set up the same. Frustrating. Guess I'll be posting pictures from the tablet instead of the phone.

Oh, it's a little mail cart. Used one of those when I worked mail room at Amway. Man, that was a weird job. Got fired after 2 weeks.

More of the Patrick & Ian goofing around NYC. What fun these friends had!
The two were in New York performing Waiting For Godot and along the way they took these adorable photos that they've decided to share now.

So the idea is on June 6, +Jay Lake's Birthday, we all wear Hawaiian shirts, socks, sandals, shorts (if you dare), and take selfies and post them to G+, FB, where ever you are social. The tag should be #JayCon, since he won't be making it to this one.
And friendly way to remember a person who will be missed.
Remember, be social.

This is the Retro Dome People. They are "nuts" about getting their musical to New York City and they need your help. 16 more days on this kickstarter. So go, help them already.

Sandra Childress, a good friend in SF Fandom, is doing real well in her archery competitions, placing first and second. But as is typical of college students, she can't afford to go to the Nationals and needs financial help. If you can, send a few dollars her way. Thanks

How very English...

Wool shops instead of yarn shops. Women instead of people. And there has to be a leader of this knitting "revival."

Thank you. I needed the laugh. :-)

Don't forget to ask for my "Definitely Not in Kansas" ribbon at cons.

Treasurer to Fandom, I can usually be found at the fan tables pimping some convention or another. See the list in Employers.

Married to Harold Harrigan. Mother of Jenevieve Davis and Harold Harrigan III aka Moose or Pikadude No. 1. Jennie is here on G+.

I am Always 42.

I seem to have made it to some shared circles, which means I now have a bunch of followers I don't know. I don't mind you following me, most of my posts are public, but if you are a friend, please send me a note that you are here, so I can circle you back.

You will find my name attached to other e-mail addresses - Do not bother to circle those accounts. They are used for e-mail only. I don't post to them. They just sit on G+ looking silly. If we are working together, I will gather your address into those address books, I promise.

My son loves this place, so tonight he bright me here. I had the Fisherman's Platter, and it was very nice and big. I am now happily stuffed with good food.

Hubby got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the rib plate. Beans needed more bbq sauce. But then again their sauce is good. Definitely worth a visit.

Great fried fish platter. Good prices too. Note this is the local diner. Good food, lots of locals, nothing fancy.

Stayed on my way to San Antonio TX. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The King Bed was a real king and comfortable. Breakfast has a limited menu, but was hot. It isn't high end or new, but serviceable. Would definitely stay here again.
