Who needs food when you can drink booze early in the morning. Defo my new favorite hangout, the locals really are a blast & friendly. Great atmosphere in this rustic irish style bar.

Spring Lounge is one of my favorite "bro bars" in the city. Unlike Brother Jimmy's or other chains, this independently owned lounge is a great watering hole for bankers, consultants, and everyone in between. I work in real estate and have seen quiet a few coworkers there, but have also seen a lot of students there as well. Drinks are cheap and refreshing. Try to get a seat in the back if you're there in the summer. That is where the air conditioning is coldest!

This is my first time reviewing because I'm usually not one to complain, but my experience here last night was so terrible I felt compelled to write. Let me start off by saying the bar itself (beer selection, ambiance, etc.) is nice, I have been there plenty of times before last night. That being said, the bar tender is incredibly rude and quickly becomes unreasonably angry and slapped a friend of mine across the face. After this, the bouncer decided to kick out anyone who came in with my friend, which I understand given the fact the bartender had just slapped my friend (even though this was unacceptable). I would have been fine with this, but the bouncer didn't tell me I was being kicked out nor did he give me a chance to walk out on my own. Instead, he picked me up from behind and body slammed me to the pavement. In trying to get up the bouncer picked me up and threw me down a second time. I was TWICE body slammed to the ground for doing absolutely nothing. My two other friends I was with received the same treatment. The sweater I was wearing is ruined, covered in blood. You might think that I probably deserved the treatment because I was an obnoxious drunk, but I promise this is not the case...I wouldn't waste my time with this review if that was the situation. Don't say I didn't warn you - DO NOT COME HERE if you expect the staff to treat you with basic respect.

Dark but cozy was my first impression of the Spring Lounge. Coming in from a cold night outside, it was already packed with people but we still managed to find a spot among the Moose heads and stuffed sharks that lined the place. The bar has a lot of character and the bartenders (and patrons) fit right in with entertaining stories and a lively atmosphere. I thought the beer selection was great with everything from PBR to Hefeweizens to Empire Cream Ale which I hadn't had for a while, and the prices were very reasonable. With a good crowd and good beer at a good price you really can't go wrong here!

I love love LOVE this bar! I've known the staff for years as my father's restaurant is across the street, and I've never had a bad time. Can't wait to go for my 21st! ;)

Spring Lounge, affectionately known as Shark Bar to some, is a quintessential dive bar in the middle of Soho. Forever serving up $4 pints of PBR alongside a range of craft beers, Spring Lounge has fantastic staff and service, with some of the best window seating / people-watching in Manhattan. My absolute favorite bar.
