'Central banks are purchasing equities because yields in the bond market are too low. (Never mind that they themselves are responsible for forcing bond prices up and driving those yields down!) Like the rest of the investing world, central banks need investments that produce income. Having crushed the incomes of millions of investors, the world’s central banks are now raiding the stock market.'

"I’d been rethinking the idea of evolution. I had major issues with the over-application of 'randomness' as the principal force behind variation in species, and in BLOOD MUSIC, came up with the then-controversial idea of read-write DNA and a computational system operating within the cell, and by extension, within a species or even an ecosystem. Rather neatly and with horrifying effect, retroviruses entered the news about the same time BLOOD MUSIC was published..."

We're excited to announce the new publication of a lost Ayn Rand novel. Ayn Rand’s work Ideal, written in 1934, is scheduled for release by Penguin Random House in July of 2015 and will be paired with Rand’s play of the same name into a single volume.

At OCON 2014, Leonard Peikoff will field questions about the book, its ideas and the history of this important new publication: http://bit.ly/OCON2014

E-mails from 2009 through 2011 pertaining to IRS targeting of conservative non-profit organizations. "The agency blamed a computer crash for the mishap."

Were that the preservation of official documents of a bureau of the executive branch were held in sufficient importance to invest in
backup software.

The credulity to think that this scandal stems from the bias and malice of a few bad apples, rather than systemic unlawful conduct, is way, way past its expiration date.

"Yes, the modern left is so ideologically bankrupt that its representatives will blame a mass murder—even one perpetrated by an explicit and thoroughgoing collectivist—on individualism, and call for more collectivism as the 'solution' to the problem."
