Hey Dan - this looks very cool and seems to hold a lot of promise. I hope it can gain enough traction to become a long-term solution.

Working on a presentation about the Go Programming Language that I'll be giving at PyMNtos (the Minnesota Python User Group) tomorrow. You know the saying that you don't really understand something until you teach it to someone else? It's true. I've had a handful of topics finally click while writing this. #golang

Man, that YouTube tab on the side of Google+ sure seems funky. And useless. I wonder if that's a prototype for future Google+ Add-on features, though? Because on its own... eh?

I'm not quite sure I agree that it's anticompetitive, at least, no more than the links along the top of the page only including Google properties. That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see the API opened up as soon as they were happy with the interaction model. Especially considering Steve Yegge's rant re: Google's failure to build platforms.

Unless I'm mistaken, Google Maps Street View no longer requires Flash if you're using the new WebGL version of Maps. Hooray!

I'm pretty sure Google has an HTML5 version of street view too. You can see it at http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/touch/examples/kitchensink/ (under User Interface -> map)

Wow! A patch I submitted just landed in Mozilla Thunderbird! It's pretty trivial, but man does it feel great to fix a bug on a project that large.
