Taĥajjud - Sleep after performing ‘Ishā Salāĥ; when you wake up during any part of the night before Subh-e-Sādiq (dawn), even if you wake up having slept for a short while after ‘Ishā Salāĥ, make Wuhu and perform at least 2 Rak’ats Nafl Salāĥ. This alāĥ is called Taĥajjud. It is Sunnaĥ to perform 8 Rak’ats, while the practice of the Mashāikh is to perform 12 Rak’ats. As for the recitation of the Holy Qurān in Taĥajjud, one may recite from any part or Sūraĥ of the Qurān. In the Rak’ats of Tahajjud Salāĥ, it is better to recite as much Quran as one has memorized. If one has memorized the whole Qurān by heart, he may complete the recitation of the whole Qurān in Taĥajjud within a minimum period of 3 days and a maximum period of 40 days. One may also recite Sūraĥ Ikhlās three times in every Rak’at. By doing so, he will attain the Šawāb of reciting the whole Quran in each Rak’at.

Khuda’ay Lam Yazil Ka Dast-E-Qudrat Tu, Zuban Tu Hai
Yaqeen Paida Kar Ae Ghafil Ke Maghloob-E-Guman Tu Hai

You are the ever‐powerful hand and the tongue of the eternal God;
Give birth to certainty, of negligent one, for your are laid low by doubt.

Why It’s So Worth It To Work At Love

We’ve all heard it – “love is a verb” . . . “love isn’t just a word” . . . “love requires action.” You’ve even heard me say it a number times in my posts. And these statements are all true.

Okay, so love is an action, but why is that so important? Why is it so worth it to work for love? What’s the benefit of putting our love into motion? Because in a healthy relationship, where both partners are investing the time and energy to make their love grow, the long-term results can be pretty spectacular.

Relationships can be hard. Tough times will come and go throughout our lives that will test our relationship. And the benefit of committing to loving our partner and investing in the relationship in the 'good times,' and even when we don’t “feel” like it, is that we're strengthening our relationship for the 'bad times.'

It's an amazing feeling to get through a struggle together and look back and see where we’ve been and how far we’ve come because we did it together. Seeing what we’ve made it through before and how much our relationship has grown can give us the motivation and encouragement to continue to work at loving each other, even in the middle of a new challenge.

It’s so worth it to work at love because that effort makes our relationship much stronger, much sweeter, much deeper, and much, much happier. And it builds a foundation to support us in those future trials that are guaranteed to come.
