timeBlend traveller, Brittany shares her tip on Schwangau, Germany:

“It took a flight and several trains to get there, but who doesn’t enjoy a Romanesque Revival Palace on a rugged hill above the village? The Neuschwanstein Castle is what our modern day Cinderella Castle is based off of. It has a history of its own (murder and scandal) leading to the castle being unfinished. Definitely worth getting off the beaten path…. ”
