Check out this mangled hand rail at Chesil Beach, Portland UK.

The crazy waves have smashed it to bits! If you look closely you see marks where the rocks have smashed into it.

More photo's to follow!

Thanks for looking!

Well, I fought through the horrid wind and rain and made it to Portland Bill!

I had a swift walk around and set up for a few shots of the furious waves smashing against the cliffs, There were a few moments I thought I was going to get soaked or get pulled into the water but I stood my ground!..... Until one huge wave struck and I along with the camera gear got a face full of fresh salt water spray haha.

This is when I thought it would be a good idea to move onto somewhere else... somewhere a little bit safer :\

Anyway, I have a few shots to upload but here is my favorite one of the night, I hope you like it... I'm glad I battled through the weather.

Thanks

Dan!

Smoke on water...

Another shot as promised earlier.

You get more of an understanding of the slow shutter speed I was explaining in my previous post with this shot.

You can see how the water has come out with the 'smokey' effect, Looks cool huh!?

Please 'like' , Share and Comment if you like what you see, It helps me out allot.

Thanks

Weymouth Lasers with a difference.

Was anyone else expecting the lasers to be different colours or anything at all?

I took this during the Ladies Midnight walk in Weymouth, I actually had the shot I wanted in mind but I couldn't get it as the tide was a little too rough :( But I'm glad, As it made me get this shot instead :).

Oh and my new tripod is awesome, Even though it got wet and covered in sand :/

Yes, The laser is BLUE! No the council haven't changed them haha It's just me changing the colour. I kinda prefer this colour to green but it was a hard decision not to keep it green.

Anyway, I hope you like it!

Been going through some old shots and this one popped up, Not sure if I have already posted it?

This was shot during one of the many Weymouth, Dorset Firework displays!

Few years old I think, Thought it looked pretty decent :)

Whats your thoughts?

I think this shot was took the year after: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=391270180933644&set=a.184025164991481.45407.181257398601591&type=3&theater

Thanks Weymouth & Portland

Hi everyone,

Long time no speak I know, Sorry for that! Been busy as usual

I have a photo that will redeem myself.. honest!

I’ve been wanting to get myself and my gear down to Bowleaze Cove way for a while now, A few nights ago I decided to wait till dark and pop down.

I had a few shots in mind that I wanted to try and capture so I had a rough Idea of what I needed and what time to arrive, I chose Bowleaze Cove way because their is an awesome little Pier  that protrudes out to the sea in direction of the Island of Portland.

A few of you may have already guessed what I wanted to capture already, Dark Surroundings and Water in my mind are a photographers dream.

I say this because in dark conditions ( or if you have a ND Filter ) you can set your camera up to take a longer exposure than normal, This is when the water comes in… With the shutter open for a long period and the water is moving around all that time the camera captures it as a smokey dreamy effect. It looks amazing in any situation, I love it!

I was running around taking plenty of long exposure photo’s and got a few ‘keepers’ so over the next few day’s I’ll post the rest.

I hope you enjoy the first one, Thanks!
