Treat Your Marketing Channels like a Soccer Team

You wouldn't place all your soccer players at the goal for the entire game, so why place all your resources at the end of the funnel?

Thanks for sharing +Craig Bradford! I'm going to bookmark and look through again to give a think if I should pull anything else for the Shutterstock content audit ill be doing (hi +Benjamin Estes :).

One HUGE part Ian is missing is customer research. I really hope his team does some form of this. I think The data is great, but his exclusively quantitative approach is going to miss things that the qualitative data from talking to your customers gives (and you can get quantitative from them too).

In all honesty reading this was a bit validating that there's an opportunity for distilled to carve out a USP here in developing content strategies with a sophisticated level of both qualitative and quantitative data.

[PUBLIC] Structured data used to be a way of telling search engines what a thing was (strings to things). Now it's also about showing what a thing can do (things to actions) and what it might do in the future (actions to anticipation). I covered this and more in my SMX Munich presentation last week.

It is allowing us to move past "strings to things" and into actions and anticipatory search. In this presentation I cover: How structured data has changed (strings to things) How to get apps indexed by Google Using structured data to say what a thing can do (things to actions) Email markup for events an...

My latest post on the Moz blog. There's a handy tool for free as well. #analytics   #CRO

Today on Moz +Craig Bradford explains the main aspects of planning, monitoring and interpreting CRO results. You don't want to miss it!
Without a basic understanding of statistics, you can often present misleading results to your clients or superiors. In this post I want to cover the main aspects of planning, monitoring and interpreting CRO results so that when you do roll out new versions of pages, the results are much closer to what you would expect. I’ve also got a free tool to give away at the end, which does most of this for you.

Unbelievable meal! I had the baseball cut top sirloin. For wine lovers they have a huge selection to choose from and the atmosphere is excellent. Could recommend highly enough.
