Fremont Street Eats is starting the Fourth of July celebration early! Join the celebration tonight in Downtown Fremont for their backyard BBQ festivities. Tonight will include yard games like cornhole, outdoor bowling and giant Jenga. Kids 12 and younger are invited to participate in the chalk art contest too! The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the City of Fremont and across the Bay Area. Please stay cool and take the following precautions:
- Drink plenty of water.
- Wear a hat and light-colored clothing when you go outside.
- Avoid strenuous activities.
- Make sure to never leave pets or kids in a parked car.
- Visit a Cooling Center.

View the Tri-City Cooling Centers flier at www.fremont.gov/coolingcenters. This list includes local government facilities within the Tri-Cities designated as Cooling Centers. Drop by one of these air-conditioned facilities during the hours listed.

The City of Fremont encourages community members to check on their neighbors, the elderly, children, and those who are most vulnerable to ensure everyone is safe during this heat wave.

Join the City of Fremont’s Human Relations Commission in celebrating at San Francisco Pride this weekend! They are looking for volunteers to help decorate the Fremont parade float on Saturday, June 24, at 10 a.m. The float building event will take place at 37510 Dusterberry Way. You also have the opportunity to walk with the float in two parades! The SF Pride Parade on Sunday, June 25, and the @Fremont4th of July Parade on Tuesday, July 4.
