Good food. Place is very busy and workers work really fast. The cuban coffee is extremely good, absolutely amazing. Thing that prevents 5 stars is the size of the place. Very difficult to sit, people are on top of each other and there is no menu.

This place couldn't be more authentic - I had the pulled pork, rice, & plantains. Such a solid meal. Small seating capacity, lively, and delicious!!

What I Got - Yellow Rice, Pulled Pork, and these potato type vegetables lol I really wanted the pasta with chicken but that wasn't allowed if I wanted pulled pork. :( I even tried to just get the pasta without chicken lol. I guess it's a main and only comes with 1 side. The pulled pork was tender and juicy! The potato type vegetable could have been cooked a little longer... some pieces were still too hard. The yellow rice was okay. I'm not a rice person though but, it is a good alternative to white rice! The place is super small so order to go if possible.

I came here as a non-Cuban tourist, so take this review for what it's worth. I had a cubano sandwich and something I could only describe as a fried-corn-cheese pancake. I would definitely recommend the cubano. It was crispy and delicious. The pancake was a bit heavy, but also tasty. I do believe this is an authentic Cuban joint, because there is no menu and English communication was a bit of an issue. There were a lot of other things behind the serving counter that looked delicious. If I'm ever back in town, I'll go back and try something more exotic.

The lechon is amazing, the best I know of in south beach...tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned...just amazing. The coladas are great, the service is fast and friendly, the sides are good and the prices are very modest. I cannot recommend this place enough.

One of my favorite spots. This is a local place with delicious authentic Cuban. They don't have a menu and the staff don't really speak English (one criterion for excellent food in Miami) but they are very friendly and patient as I struggle to practice my Spanish. Its also the best place for people watching: the local Cuban old men who have been living here since the 60s hang out outside and smoke cigars and chat all day with cafe coladas. They are also very friendly and smile at passersby... Look out for the guy always wearing the cowboy hat and boots with a cigar. He's a character!
