Bewick Old Church...to the east of the A697 as you head north towards Wooler. Always felt that the countryside around here is quite special. Lots of history and some magic.

This is the front of a pamphlet talking about the church and early christianity in Bamburgh and across Northumbria.
Date stamped august 15th 1948...the summer olympics were underway in London, South Korea was founded on that day and memories of the awful winter of 1947 were now distant memories during the hot summer days.
