A #dentalimplant is a tiny titanium post surgically placed in the jawbone, where it functions as the tooth's root. An abutment is attached to the implant and serves as an anchor for the appropriate dental restoration. #RestorativeDentistry

#DidYouKnow Historically, #dentists would fill and seal cavities using a silver and mercury amalgam, called a filling.  Composite, or tooth-colored fillings, are considered a stronger, safer, and more natural-looking alternative to mercury. #ToothColoredFillings #RestorativeDentist

Patients looking into their tooth-replacement options should consider #dentalimplants.  Implant-supported restorations are much more comfortable and longer lasting than tooth-supported ones. #RestorativeDentistry

Do you have #teeth with white spots, or teeth that are chalky in appearance?  This type of superficial discoloration may be caused by several factors, including excessive fluoride consumption, trauma to a baby tooth, childhood illness and oral infections. These types of discoloration can often be corrected easily with #microabrasion.
