The 2017 NW CJIS Users Workshop And Security Summit is set to begin in September at the Seaside Convention Center in Seaside, OR. There are two separate tracks; one for IT Professionals and another one for system users such as police officers, detectives, dispatch and records personnel, etc. Anyone whose agency is responsible for discharging a criminal justice function will benefit from participation. Any active or retired members of the public safety/criminal justice professions are also welcome. The IT Track offers: A Digital Geneva Convention - Is It Needed?; Tracking, Managing, and Controling CJIS Security Compliance; and Technical Needs and Implications of Biometric and Other Advancements--those are a few of the workshops available during this year's event, September 11-14th.
