Some interesting things happening on a Google search for 'london 2012':

1. The first link is an adwords ad from Sega, containing a trailer link & an image from the video itself.
2. The right-hand sidebar has a full medals tally (sadly painfully out of date!)
3. Full schedule of events in he right sidebar.
4. Interestingly (at least for me), the Twitter 'London2012' account, Facebook London2012 page and Youtube London2012 page all rank on page 1. None of those have a huge amount of linking domains, therefore they're either ranking based on A) domain authority; B) 'in-network' links; C) the strength of their links direct from the official London 2012 site.
