We visited the park 3 weeks ago forZoominations. It was unfortunately a series of disappointments that has lead me to writing this. When we arrived there was a special event happening and the people had spilled out into the driveway blocking it and making us think there was no other parking. After circling for 5- 10 minutes we found a couple leaving and waited for a spot. Having some mobility issues between us, it was disappointing to see a whole other parking lot with several spaces available right at the entrance once we got past the pedestrians blocking the road. Once we were let into the park at the advertised time, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes as "the park is not ready for visitors yet" according to the staff manning the barriers. Then we go directly to the "acrobat" show which was further delayed, and when it began was 15 minutes of a comic magician, 5 minutes juggling, and another 5 minutes of ribbon gymnastics/dancing. At this point the lights could have been 10 times more fantastic than they already were, but the night was a disappointment when it came to the park's facilities. If it wasn't for the company I was keeping and enjoying them, I would have left. I sent this note to Lowry Park the following day via their customer service link online and never was responded to.

I was beyond pleased with this zoo. We have been to many zoos around the country and are from michigan. Bathrooms, soda, water and snack are easy to access everywhere. The kids loved the rides and play area. It was our best stop so far while in the bay area. We had an amazing day!

Nice place for families The staff us great, hard working, helpful and very nice. The entire place is well built but evidently threes days (Apr 2015) they need funding for renovations. Some cages are closed, some animals missing. One of the two rides is out of service and most tanks need new filters. Food is very decent. Price is reasonable. We would recommend this for families but we're sure if they fund and complete the renovations, this place can be FIVE STARS.

The animals look malnutritioned. The tiger paces back and forth showing a sign of stress and the poor monkey constantly moves side to side as if it has gone crazy. The employees aren't even that friendly and the park itself is not something to brag about. They definitely need much more room for animals to move around. The tiger doesn't have room to run AT ALL and the larger animals have limited space. I was very upset to see what I saw. Beautiful day but will NEVER go there again and I will never recommend this place to anyone. Double thumbs down. 👎👎😞😡 Disappointing-

Liked it enough to get a yearly pass for my kids. Prices are not unreasonable and I have been able to bring water bottles in the past. They also have water fountains occasionally placed throughout. My daughters LOVED the kids play area; they have done renovations in the kids area since the last time I had been before getting my passes. The only thing that concerns me is the proximity of the petting zoo to the play area to the restaurant. Some animals do seem to be missing from certain exhibits quite often; however, being as that there is such a variety of animals to see, it has never been a problem (though you can get a little bummed out when it is one of the "cool" animals missing.) Overall, I would recommend this place. It's a great place to take your kids.

Lots of fun for the wife and I. It was allot larger than expected, with all sorts of attractions. We paid an extra $3 to feed a giraffe which was awesome. The safari ride was nice and not too long or to short. They have a kids area with a petting zoo, a small area to get wet and splash around, and a stingray petting tank. The photos by the green screen were really nice but a little pricey.

Let me first start off by saying I have visited more zoos than just Tampa Lowry Park. I've also visited the Memphis Zoo ($15 Admission) and St.Louis Zoo. We recently moved to Tampa and for my husbands birthday we decided to visit Tampa Lowry Zoo (mostly because he gets in free). After reading reviews and people saying that the zoo is "amazing" I happily paid my $30 for entry. WHAT A MISTAKE. Coming form Missouri we are blessed to have the St.Louis Zoo in the area. Not only are the museums and zoo free, the STL ZOO is AMAZING. CLEAN. ANIMALS ARE WELL TAKEN CARE OF. GREAT EXHIBITS. Tampa on the other thing was lacking all of these. We first went to the Africa tour on where you ride a tram to view animals. I would compare the exhibits to back yard barn, caution tape, poorly made fences and dirt. The animals looked like there were little existence to living. No interactive elements to their life. Just animals in cages. One of the things I was excited to do was feed a giraffe. Until I realized that they only way they get fed is by PEOPLE and the occasional hay in bucket.. I also witness these creatures doing to splits to get food (which is terrible for giraffes.) The exhibits had trash and other things in them, was not landscaped (weeds everywhere). I am not a PETA fanatic but this was by far the worst zoo I've ever been too. As much as you have to pay to get in you would think it would be nice. NO ITS NOT. I hope things change in the future but as of now I will not recommend this to anyone or support it.

eating at the grill and the smoke from the fryer is coming into the customer seating. this is a osha violation, I work in the construction industry and specifically hvac including grease duct. your ventilation needs to be adressed, it is a serious health hazard for customers and employees. this should be adressed ASAP. again it is an osha violation.
