Celebrated zoo offering giraffe feeding, camel rides, a wildlife boat tour & a water play area.- Google
"Tampa's Lowry Zoo is way better than Disney Animal Kingdom."
"Food and Drinks are overpriced - as they are at all theme parks."

We hosted our 3yr old daughter's birthday party at the Zoo School and everyone was quite happy with the event. The facility includes a big hall that was already decorated and setup for us. The staff was simply great! They brought in few animals (that we picked) and kept the kids entertained. There is also a huge play area outside the hall, but, we didn't use them due to the heat around this time of the year. At the end, the staff took care of all the cleanup and the guests got to go into the zoo to check out some of the animals and rides. We'd highly recommend this venue for birthday parties.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - While visiting the zoo from out of town earlier this week with my 85 year-old Mother-in-law and family of 7 she began having pain and I needed to rent a wheelchair. When I found the wheelchair and stroller rental office it was closed with a sign directing me to a nearby gift shop. When I reached the gift shop there were two young clerks at a register chatting and I was unable to get their attention for some time. When they finally saw me I asked about wheelchair rentals and they said "$10 and a photo ID we can hold". I only carry one form of ID with my photo ID, my driver's license, and I told the young woman I wasn't going to leave that with them, but I needed a wheelchair for an 85 year-old woman. She said sorry, company policy. I asked if there was anything else I could do and she said, "no, company policy". I left the store and without another option we had to leave the park for a two hour drive home. Over $200 wasted. Hope for them they were just having a bad day and not the norm. I was going to buy season passes for the entire family, but instead I'll buy passes at nearby Busch Gardens instead.

Liked it enough to get a yearly pass for my kids. Prices are not unreasonable and I have been able to bring water bottles in the past. They also have water fountains occasionally placed throughout. My daughters LOVED the kids play area; they have done renovations in the kids area since the last time I had been before getting my passes. The only thing that concerns me is the proximity of the petting zoo to the play area to the restaurant. Some animals do seem to be missing from certain exhibits quite often; however, being as that there is such a variety of animals to see, it has never been a problem (though you can get a little bummed out when it is one of the "cool" animals missing.) Overall, I would recommend this place. It's a great place to take your kids.

I was beyond pleased with this zoo. We have been to many zoos around the country and are from michigan. Bathrooms, soda, water and snack are easy to access everywhere. The kids loved the rides and play area. It was our best stop so far while in the bay area. We had an amazing day!

Loved this Zoo!! So much to see and learn from the staff, who are all wonderful! It's older and it shows its age, but you can feel the love for this treasure of a zoo all over the place. Would highly recommend for a journey and great learning experience. Love the habitats, and how the park is laid out to entertain everyone!

We visited the park 3 weeks ago forZoominations. It was unfortunately a series of disappointments that has lead me to writing this. When we arrived there was a special event happening and the people had spilled out into the driveway blocking it and making us think there was no other parking. After circling for 5- 10 minutes we found a couple leaving and waited for a spot. Having some mobility issues between us, it was disappointing to see a whole other parking lot with several spaces available right at the entrance once we got past the pedestrians blocking the road. Once we were let into the park at the advertised time, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes as "the park is not ready for visitors yet" according to the staff manning the barriers. Then we go directly to the "acrobat" show which was further delayed, and when it began was 15 minutes of a comic magician, 5 minutes juggling, and another 5 minutes of ribbon gymnastics/dancing. At this point the lights could have been 10 times more fantastic than they already were, but the night was a disappointment when it came to the park's facilities. If it wasn't for the company I was keeping and enjoying them, I would have left. I sent this note to Lowry Park the following day via their customer service link online and never was responded to.

Really great zoo! Took my 4 and 5 year old. Clean and easy to get around. Friendly staff and my kids loved it. Monkeys and giraffes were the highlights!

Lots of fun for the wife and I. It was allot larger than expected, with all sorts of attractions. We paid an extra $3 to feed a giraffe which was awesome. The safari ride was nice and not too long or to short. They have a kids area with a petting zoo, a small area to get wet and splash around, and a stingray petting tank. The photos by the green screen were really nice but a little pricey.
