Have you tried searching online for products your company offers?

If you haven’t found them easily, then it’s likely that your company’s online presence is poor and needs help. To enhance its online presence, your company may participate in the Google Online Marketing Challenge and as a result improve its sales.

The Google Online Marketing Challenge (GOMC) is a competition that gives real businesses worldwide the opportunity to create online marketing campaigns using Google AdWords and the help of hard-working students. The campaign will take place within a period of 3 weeks between now and May 27, 2012.

The American University of Beirut (AUB) has gathered proficient students, of both its School of Business and School of Engineering, to participate in the GOMC and aid 5 local companies in expanding their business through the online community.

The online marketing campaigns of the 5 companies will be under the supervision of Dr. Tony Feghali, AUB’s esteemed Professor of Management of Search Market Technology and Co-Director of Darwazah Center for Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship.

To be one of the 5 companies eligible for this project, the company must abide by the following requirements :

1- The company must be a Lebanese small-to-medium enterprise or non-profit organization.
2- The company must have a product/service that they want to advertise.
3- The company must have an online presence, preferably a website, in order to facilitate the process of setting up Google AdWords.
4- The company should be cooperative and enthusiastic towards enhancing their online presence and growing their business.
5- The company must NOT have experienced Google AdWords in the last six months.

It must be emphasized that in order for the online marketing campaigns to be successful, the companies must be willing to commit and cooperate with their assigned team of professional students.

As part of the GOMC, the students are granted US$250 of Google AdWords to use in advertising for the company. Hence, there will be no charges on the company in regards to the online advertising used in this project.
