See how Michelin test the lateral grip of a tyre using an electric bike and a very wet test track!

Why Fully Charged isn't 'proper' journalism
I woke up early, but too late to see the actual live feed from the Tesla Model 3 launch. I've caught up of course and heard from all my friends and colleagues who've already ordered one.
I could have gone to the launch in Los Angeles, as an existing Tesla owner I received an invite but it was a bit of a stretch to fly all the way there for a half hour party.
If Fully Charged was about getting the news out first, I might have made a greater effort but that's not what I'm trying to do with the series.
I want to give an overview of the incredible and rapid changes taking place in the energy and transport arena, the long view, the overview.
Breaking news, which is very well catered for, is not something I'm attempting.
That said, I think last nights event is significant, a milestone in our journey away from fossil fuels.
As Elon musk stated at the start of the event, it's not about a new car, it's about a new idea, a much bigger idea.
As fossil fuel use is still increasing, as global temperatures are rising, as C02 levels are shooting up, we really, really need to do something to change the way we operate.
Tesla isn't going to save the world, nor are electric cars, renewable energy or locally produced food.
But collectively, all the movements around the world, all the efforts to consume less, with less impact are starting to create genuine, viable, sustainable alternatives to our moribund drill and burn culture.
The Tesla Model 3 launch is something to take notice of.
And people are
130,000 orders at time of writing, orders for a car that has only just been revealed and won't be delivered until late 2017 at the soonest, UK owners won't get one until mid 2018.
My Model S lease will run out mid 2018. I think I know what I'll be replacing it with.
