After receiving requests for information on how to volunteer at Elephant Nature Park in Thailand, as well as seeing photos on Facebook of people doing stupid things with elephants (like kneeling in front of them and gripping their trunk, or placing their head between and elephant's trunk and mouth) I decided to write a post on how to visit or volunteer at the park - including how to behave around elephants, and a cautionary tale of what can happen it an elephant gets upset.

When I returned to Chiang Mai I was hoping to save a little money - as I was spending way too much in Bangkok - but being back in CM has been wonderful, and for the first time in weeks, possibly months, I am start to feel at peace again, and my head is not as cloudy.
