Incredible wine list, innovative food ( not your typical elevated southern cuisine you find in the holy city) intimate interior, and knowledgeable staff who are approachable and down to earth, make Fig a must do on the dinning circuit while visiting a must do.

we had family in town and we were deciding between fig and hisk...we chose fig and couldn't be more pleased! 2 of us had a lot of food restrictions and they were so accommodating. the service was impeccable ... our server's name is Phillip and he gave us the best service we could have asked for he was so knowledgeable about everything but also gave us an incredible dining experience. we tried 3 appetizers, 4 entrees, 2 additional sides as well as desserts and sampled it all...everything was amazing! best meal we've ever had not only in charleston but in general...we all highly recommend this restaurant.

Our favorite meal of this trip. Inventive, delicious, surprising, fun. White shrimp cocktail is nothing like the cold horseradish you know. It's warm, with broth and fresh herbs and oil. The gnocchi is ricotta, not potato. The rum cake desert is extra salty. The fire walk cocktail was just perfect. I could say that our waitress fawned over the dishes too much. But in truth she was delightful and made us feel comfortable and at ease.

One of, if not the, best restaurant in Charleston. Go here if you want the best food you can have. 10/10, would bang.

I can't find a single reason not to give FIG 5 stars. We started w/ the Gnocci, which melts in your mouth, followed by the Crab Spaghetti, also on point. Then we shared the Flounder to save room for the Doughnuts, which even my boyfriend (who typically doesn't eat dessert) devoured! Our server was attentive & friendly, full of southern hospitality. He even wrote down his own personal recommendations for other dining destinations, since it was our first time to Charleston. Most guests seemed to be from out of town, but there were a couple of locals in the mix too. What most impressed me was the precision with which easy dish was crafted. Herbs & spices used just right. The cocktails were also creative & delicious. A must do if visiting Charleston!!

A previous reviewer said that the " Gnocchi was like eating a cloud", I know exactly what he meant. It's addictive and life-changing , might the best thing I've ever eaten. I also had soft shell crab, delicious. Bar crowd was friendly and fun. Can't wait to bring friends here .

Food is damn good at FIG! Came with my husband for our last celebratory dinner in Charleston. We were warmly welcomed with sparkling wine and the best seats of the house. We started off by sharing their famous ricotta gnocchi in lamb Bolognese. The gnocchi literally dissolved in my mouth and the lamb Bolognese was lick off the bowl worthy. This appetizer alone can be a small meal of its own - so filling, so delicious! Best gnocchi of my life! Fish stew - the broth was rich and perfect for dunking basket after basket of complimentary sourdough, the seafood was endless (how many pieces of fish, shrimp, and mussels can you fit into this pot?), the creamy rice at the bottom - I must spoon every last bite! Baked snapper - my husband thoroughly enjoyed his dish. It was very light yet tasty. Everything he was looking for after 3 days of "comfort food". Too bad we way overate the last 3 days, we just didn't have the stomach for desserts. Even with ever changing daily menu, I have no doubt there will definitely be something for everyone to love!

Terrific service and amazing food. Gnocchi was like eating a cloud, kohlrabi salad was a great palate cleanser, cauliflower salad was excellent, and then we had pork schnitzel and grouper, which were both terrific. Waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about every ingredient and preparation.
