I have lived in San Antonio for several years now and have kept going back to The Cove to eat. Their menu is limited and has changed little since we've been here, but the food is very good. They use local farms for meat/produce. The burgers and fish tacos are both excellent. They have a great outdoor bar with a large selection of local beers. They have lots of outdoor seating as well as some indoor seating (indoor bar area). They have a playset for kids, which my son will spend hours on. They also are very dog friendly. I highly recommend The Cove.

The bread was burnt. That my biggest complaint how do you burn bread for your burger? Otherwise cool place, I'll be more vocal next time. But was not asked how my food was once. Don't recommend tipping as it is mostly self serve, unless you are ordering alcohol. If the waiter offered a new cup of ice, maybe I would change my opinion. I'll give it another chance but burnt bread... that's how you ruin an otherwise decent burger.

My green college buddies would always come here for our end-of-semester social. Great environment, Great food (sustainable), and Great Folks. They also have a Ping-Pong table to play with..very fun!

Pretty disappointed. Burgers were WELL done and very dry, almost to the point of being burned. If you specialize in burgers, I think you should know how to prepare them.

Awesome hole-in-the-wall joint with a great beer selection and a surprisingly-good vegan bacon cheeseburger. Parking isn't great, but virtually everything else is on-point.

Love the fish tacos. Seriously delicious. Service has never been all that good or expeditious. It's one of those places that could behave less casually and more professionally. But of course this is San Antonio and not a real city that wants to be taken seriously. 5 stars for the food. 3 stars for service.

Vegan bacon burger is amazing, as well as the sweet potato fries. Server realized that I ordered fries with non vegan sauce and very quickly brought me out some vegan friendly sauce.I was pretty impressed. Overall, I'll very gladly come back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

My husband and I went for the first time today and our experience wasn't anything special. We placed our order, I got the Vegan BLT and my husband got the Real Burger. After we served our drinks we didn't know where to go next. If it's your first time you kinda have to go explore the area outside and figure out where you can sit. The wait time wasn't too long, there weren't many people, it was around 1pm. I wasn't too happy with my burger, the bun was too toasted/burnt for my taste and the patty was just okay. My husband liked his burger but his fried potatoes were old and chewy. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be going back since there aren't many vegetarian/vegan friendly spots in town.
