“My go – to items are mascara and something to tame my eyebrows. I swear by Covergirl’s “Falsies” mascara. I also recently tried Glossier and their boy-brow is pretty fantastic. It’s an awesome product if you want to enhance your brows, but also keep them natural looking.”

Lessons from Leadership: Leadership vs Management - Influence vs Direction.
When faced with an opportunity to lead or manage someone today take a deep breath & ask yourself. Are you about to direct or influence? It's easy to tell someone what to do, but you can influence him/her & be a much more effective leader by saying, "This is your decision to make, but let me give you my thoughts as input. What were you thinking of doing?" Have a smart conversation. Hear out what the person was thinking of doing & discuss them. Don’t shoot them down. Listen, acknowledge & guide.

Lessons from Leader: VISION.

It’s very important to let employees in on your vision & equally as important to have a clear vision and communicate it to your team with regularity. Be as transparent as you can with all of your team members. The more they know, the more you all are part of the same dream and vision. They will work harder to get where your project needs to be. If you're keeping information from your team members, they'll lose trust and start to feel like they're not contributing to the bigger picture. That's when they look elsewhere.

Lessons from Leadership: GOOD LEADERSHIP IS ABOUT GOOD CALIBRATION AND POSITIONING.

If you think about achieving your vision, it's like any daunting task like climbing a mountain or running a marathon. Most leaders and managers I have seen think they have to be all buttoned up and have the path up the mountain all mapped out shouting the directions back down to their team members along the way. But really, leadership is about calibration. It’s about positioning. This means we can achieve a lot more if we all go up that mountain together.
