In 1994, when we just had moved to Woodland Hills, me and my wife visited The Pizza Cookery. Back then we found the food so appallingly bad we decided never go back. So, I was very surprised today when my wife suggested we go back this place for dinner. But we did. The verdict - in the 18 years since our first visit nothing has changed. In fact, I can not remember having had more tasteless food then this. Ever. Since it is The Pizza Cookery, we both decided on pizza. The dough was barely cooked, there was some red sauce on the pizza that was completely devoid of taste (tomato I guess) and something fatty that posted at cheese. But again where completely devoid of taste. So where the rest of the toppings. And the prices are high - astronomical considering what you get for the money. A true rip-off. But I kind of like the interior and the service was OK. My recommendation, however, is that if you crave pizza, stay at home and order Dominos or some other delivery. Cheaper and much much much better.

I would recommend this place to a hungry person the portions are huge! Service as OK but the food made up for it! I'd go here again for sure.

I just tried this place for the first time and I wasn't overly impressed. First off, it's tucked in the corner of a shopping center so it was difficult to find. Next, they have saw dust on the floor... I thought that was weird and messy. The service was slow and the place did not even seem that busy. The only good thing was the food. I loved the bread and antipasto salad I got was pretty good. I was expecting so much for based on what I had heard. I don't know if I'll go back again...maybe.

I realized after paying the check what a rip off this place was for the quality of food and service you get. When I was tween I thought this place was awesome, and now after eating at Mom and Pop places in the burbs of Chicago, Detroit, and New York, the food here is made with the cheapest ingredients and comes out looking really low quality, like where is that pepperoni on the pizza from? And the mushy crust? I think since the place is still busy shows how people who live and work in that part of the valley are either their for nostalgia or do not know what a great American pizza pie tastes like. The atmosphere is great but the food... Avoid this place at all costs!
