Is this... anything?

Trying to compose something simple to run one-shots with strangers, using arbitrary OSR modules, or even just a string of http://goblinpunch.blogspot.com/2016/03/1d135-osr-style-challenges.html held together with duct tape and random tables. Character aspects would be on cards, and contain a combination of flavorful backgrounds, assets, and relationships (the ones here http://lithyscaphe.blogspot.com/2019/01/grotty-pc-relationships.html), each of which would also have some interesting items.

This has probably been covered in the past, but in case it hasn't, I just had the notion of yet another way to improve bonds, very simply.

Rewrite them as move triggers.

________ does not understand me, or my culture. I will explain myself to them, no matter how long it takes.

becomes something like...

When ______ misunderstands me or my culture, I will explain myself to them, no matter how long it takes.

The difference is subtle and easy to write off, but I think it increases the chance of players interacting with them, since they are already primed to look for similar triggers.

If you were to make one small, mechanical change/house rule to make combat more engaging (if you want more specificity, let's say: increase the number of obvious, available, interesting choices of what to do during your turn), what would it be?
