Totally still trying to incorporate Google+ into my routine. I like what I've experienced so far! What are your thoughts on this so far?

Appreciate this reminder from +Jeff Goins : http://goinswriter.com/get-over-it/ Especially these lines: "That is, unless you’re talking about your dream, your passion. Unless you’re talking about the very thing that keeps you up at night, the reason you got out of bed this morning. In that case, you have no choice: you have to figure out a way to get to your dream."
This helps reveal to me that my passions are faith, writing, and parenting (which includes homeschooling).

My favorite lines: "Today is a day for shepherds and kings. For wise men and fools alike. A day when the whole world recognizes its poverty and turns its powerless gaze to an infant for hope." and "This is the kind of day that can teach us about life. About wonder and waiting — and mostly, about ourselves."
Here's something I just wrote, reflecting on today (what do you think?):

"Shepherds and Kings"

Today is a day for shepherds and kings. For wise men and fools alike. A day when the whole world recognizes its poverty and turns its powerless gaze to an infant for hope.

There's something beautiful about a day like that.

It's a day that confounds logic and turns expectation on its head. It's a day where peasants and prophets come together at the same table.

We need more days like that.

There's something magical about a holy night when we look to the skies, waiting for a miracle. Something awesome about a morning that forces children up at the break of dawn, in eager expectation.

This is the kind of day that can teach us about life. About wonder and waiting — and mostly, about ourselves.

It's the type of day we long to live every day. A day in which we become our best selves.

But the truth is Christmas only comes once a year. And that's what makes it special.

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:14 -- Merry Christmas!!
