Die diesjährige Cantor-Medaille der Deutschen Mathematiker-Vereinigung (DMV) geht an Michael Struwe, Professor für Mathematik an der Eidgenössischen Technischen Hochschule (ETH) Zürich. Die Cantor-Medaille ist die höchste wissenschaftliche Auszeichnung, die die DMV verleiht. Den diesjährigen von Kaven-Preis der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) erhält die Mathematikerin Eva Viehmann von der Technischen Universität München.
