The combination of hot dog toppings may confuse you at first, but keep an open mind and you will be rewarded with truly unique and delicious dogs. My personal favorite is the Mac Daddy and I crave it constantly.

Husband and I stopped in on our way through town. Unbelievable dogs. Imaginative combinations that really work. Fresh hot and delicious. Goofy, Devil and Hound were all out of this world!

This place has the most innovative creations when it comes to hotdogs, they even do a great veggie hotdog. Family friendly atmosphere. A place to definitely visit if you are in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

This is the best hot dog place in West Michigan, bar none. The hot dogs are first class without any toppings (really tasty dogs with no filler), and the toppings are eclectic but all work incredibly well even if they sound weird (try the Goofy - peanut butter and pickles - and you'll understand). The dogs are all named, and you should definitely try the Hound, the Chi-Chi, the Goofy, the Mac Daddy, the Wild Hog (be prepared for the bacon wrapped dog) and the Chilimacaloco (might have to cut this one up). There are lots of others, too. In addition the service is fabulous, your dogs are never cold (they monitor your progress and bring them to you one at a time) and the specialty sodas are delicious (love the Sammi Rae black cherry). When you throw in the fact that Marco and Diane are two of the friendliest, hardest working people you could ever know you get a place that can't be beat. I've eaten hot dogs in 47 states and two foreign countries and am an acknowledged expert in the field of hot dog cuisine, and the only dogs I've ever had that were definitively better were the traditional Chicago style at Superdawg on Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago and two specialty dogs at Hot Doug's in Chicago (which is now closed). I drive all the way from Kalamazoo to eat here, and believe me, it's worth it. Prices are really low when compared to value. There is nothing but class to be found at The Mad Dogz.

Marco and Diane are Very nice and made us feel at home. The dogs we chose from a wild menu assortment were fantastic. Grand Rapids visitors don't miss trying a great hot dog.
