What if we forgot about the SGR diversion and just abolished the RBRVS? Without that, there is no need for codes. Would you miss them? If Medicare payments are less than the cost of care, forcing doctors to quit, why not reduce the cost of care? Why not do a radical administrativectomy? Cut the codes, not the patients.

The Supreme Court of the United States today granted certiorari to the challenge to ObamaCare by 26 states. AAPS was the only physicians' group to file an amicus brief before the Supreme Court asking them to grant the Florida v. HHS petition for writ.

Association of American Physicians and Surgeons: A voice for private physicians since 1943.
Introduction

Since 1943, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) has been dedicated to the highest ethical standards of the Oath of Hippocrates and to preserving the sanctity of the patient-physician relationship and the practice of private medicine.  Our motto, "omnia pro aegroto" means "all for the patient."

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization. Also, the AAPS  is a membership-based physician organization which does not take funding by corporations, government or political parties. Therefore, its doctor members can be assured of the AAPS's nonpartisanship. It is the largest doctor organization funded almost entirely by membership dues.

AAPS has initiated more legal briefs on behalf of doctors and their concerned patients than most medical societies combined and they have often successful. For example, AAPS fought HillaryCare in the early 1990's and won.  Currently, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons is fighting to overturn ObamaCare in the courts.
