I have used Palmerston Veterinary Hospital with my pets for over 30 years and have had consistently excellent service from the very caring vets and nurses. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a vet in the area.

Top notch care and good value for money. Thoroughly disagree with the reviewer who said it's all about profit with these vets.

I'm sad to say but it seems this that is only interested in money not the animals , My cat has an ongoing condition and needs medication, medication from this vet is £25 a bottle, I can get the same medication online for 7 pounds so I asked for a prescription they charge you £20 for prescription scription and refused to give me any more than three months however I found out By law they have to give you six months prescription and they shouldn't be charging £20 . My little cat had to go without as I could not afford the massive markup they add on, they would rather pets go without then selling the medication at a reasonable price. Seems to me it's all about the profit not about the animals welfare .

I have been taking my two dogs to here for nearly three years and have found they have the highest level of experience and excellent level of care. I know my pets are in very safe hands when I take them here. The vets are extremely knowledgeable of both traditional veterinary remedies and open to trying different more natural remedies too. Having moved from the immediate area I now travel nearly 10 miles to still take my dogs here as I wholeheartedly trust that they get the BEST care here.

Louis is a gorgeous cockerpoo! He was a brave boy whilst having a microchip and a second vaccination.

Jade is our ward nurse today and responsible for looking after Tia. We have had a few animals coming into us over the last few days who have ingested something they shouldn't have! Please keep all medications out of reach from your pets. This could potentially cause serious problems and we should be called immediately.

Jackson the cute Dalmatian puppy came in for a vaccination and microchip. Click on the link below to read more about microchips and why you should have it done. http://www.tracer-microchips.co.uk/scripts/pages/en/how_does_it_work/index.php

We have had a busy morning taking x-rays on a cat with a dislocated right hip. The hip has been manipulated back into its socket and now requires cage rest. This should solve the problem and things will be back to normal soon.

The temperature is rising outside. Ensure you keep all your animals cool and provide them with fresh water. Do not leave them in the car or outside in the sun whilst popping into the shops.
