First print with the new Koolertron extruder.

It's Koolertron 0.4mm extruder that i got from Amazon. Printing green PLA. Print went fine except small amount of over extrusion since the drive gear is little bit bigger than in my original MIX G1 extruder.

1) There where some jagged edges inside the hole that accepts the incoming filament. But I managed to get it smooth it with hand drill.

2) I first mounted hot end low as possible, but that was a mistake. It allowed too much flex between hot end acceptor hole and the mounting it high as possible fixed this problem.

Next upgrade will be belt and belt gears for x&y....

Milling first pcb on my imodela. It went well and end result seems to be working ok. I followed instructions on this page to get it going:
http://www.mariolukas.de/2012/06/imodela-platinen-frasen-mit-eagle-teil-1/ isolation routing is done on v-shaped mill end and after that holes can be drilled with drill bits.

#PiGrillGuardian .. visual feedback for possible intruders.  running with only one sensor on the front means that it only detects movement on directly front of it.  On the video green lights chage to red when movement is detected.. Going to add more detectors later. maybe next spring. small white stud in lover body is the sensor itself.

Captain O paid a visit today. I was doing final testing to the #PiGrillGuardian  before deployment. Noticed that IR motion detection doesn't work at all if its installed under IR protected acrylic cupola. Had to device some alternate installation place then. Boring 17 millimeter hole on the main hull will do nicely and also adds some nice surface detail. I think i can roll this out next weekend.... will shoot some video on alert cycle then.

Got some laser cut parts from formulor. They look better than I expected them to look. Engraving on the plywood looks really good and kerning was up to the specification so I got holes the right size and that modular box kit fits well together.

Got some #PiGrillGuardian components by mail today.

On the bottom row is series of IR movement detector holders(https://tinkercad.com/things/f0a4E1Bpc96-infrared-motion-detection-holder). Holders were printed by Shape Ways because they are too delicate to be printed with MakerBot.  I already installed detector on to the leftmost holder.  In the plastic bag behind is servo operated pan-tilt head that is going swing raspi camera into direction where movement has been detected. This is the last component batch necessary to complete PiGrillGuardian. I expect to have funny and amusing security system up and running by Christmas.

Printed this holder for robo guards primary brain module (raspi).  I modeled it in Tinkercad. Printed in gray PLA on Makerbot.  Model itself can be found here:  https://tinkercad.com/things/3zQ00d9soxy-pi-holder-block . I also whipped up holder for cheap infrared movement detection modules. Model here:   https://tinkercad.com/things/f0a4E1Bpc96-infrared-motion-detection-holder . I ordered six pieces of them from shapeways. Just to see how those 3d printing services work.

Got Replicator  and Reprap wintering over with us. First thing to print out was filament rack. It is installed directly above the printers so I probably can feed both printers directly from the rack. I plan feed ABS from the rack into Replicator and PLA,PET into the Reprap.

You can find open scad file for the simple supports here:

Plenty of more and more interesting prints coming up soon as i get printer setup just so that it is fast and efficient.

PIGrillGuardian v 0.0001. My Improvised housing for web camera. Raspi + picam + grill + lamp bowl. Later i probably add motion detection, lights and maybe even some sounds. Webcam already works, I can see it taking images once a minute and I can browse pics over SMB. I may later put this in more interesting location and make proper web gui for this.
