Just 6 miles from Newgrange, the school in Drogheda also had a solar event today with the official opening of 'The timekeeper' sculpture. It seemed more like a raindial that a sundial at times, but the sun did make an appearance. #solstice  #WinterSolstice

Happy winter solstice. An important day for a number of celtic stone sites today. One of Ireland's most famous being Newgrange. Some of its quartzite facade pictured here.
