I was finally going to experience the Rockies...but my first impression wasn't what I'd expected.
I’d wanted to be blown away by the Rockies, to experience love at first sight, and an immediate desire to relocate. That failed to happen.

If I were you, I would add Grasslands National Park to your bucket list. It's an incredible place that must be experienced.
Grassland National Park is located in Southern Saskatchewan and it’s one of the largest and least disturbed remaining pockets of native prairie in North America.

Pukaskwa National Park was my first Canadian National Park, my first impression of Lake Superior and my first night camping on this road trip. It did not disappoint!
I was blown away by the magic in the forest, everything had some sort of moss growing on it, giving the woods a look I had never seen before. I was stunned by the size of the beaches and the large trees that clutter their shores.

These last nine months of being with my family and traveling have already made me a better person.
Jesus made time for those He encountered. He always gave of Himself. He mandates we do the same—that we think of others before ourselves

Local travel in the Northeast to the town of Stowe, Vermont reminded me of my time in Austria.
A lot about Stowe reminded me of Austria. Especially while riding the paved path that offered lovely views of the fields, the town, and the mountains.

I asked his name, smiling uncontrollably, as I prepared to sign his book. This was it, for the first time in my life, I was putting pen to the inside of a book cover to sign my name on a book I’d written and sold.
Dave was my first! I’ll never forget Dave. He walked into the gym wearing jeans and a bottom up shirt carrying his gym bag, unaware of who I was or what was going on. He scanned his membership card and noticed the food laid out to the right and inquired about what was going on. That was my cue. I jumped on the opportunity to introduce myself and tell him about my books. Within what seemed like no time at all, he was ready to purchase one of my bo...

I thought I would have some answer by now...of what exactly I'm supposed to do next but I don't. I do however have some revelations to take into account.
I left for my summer road trip two months and some change ago in search of some answers. I’ve covered over 3,000 miles and have had some incredible experiences (I’m still catching up on those blog posts) however, no definitive answers have materialized. Well…not exactly. I added a post last week called “My Focus is on the Lord” as a reminder/confirmation that ultimately I’m fully trusting God for what’s next and I’m grateful for the journey He ha...

Two months, thousand of miles and hundreds of matches later, I'm still getting good use out of Tinder without compromising my Christian values. Will write about Tindering across Canada but first, this is Part II that I promised months ago which covers how I communicate with my matches.
In my messaging, I’m never cute, flirtatious, or something In my messaging, I’m honest, direct, and assertive. I aim to flush out who is ready to take advantage of an opportunity and who isn’t.

I was once more amazed by the size and beauty of Lake Superior
After my morning stroll, it was time to break-up camp and drive to the next destination. I arrived in Thunder Bay in early afternoon, but couldn’t check-in to my AirBnB until after 5:30pm, which meant I had some time to kill. The day was overcast and cool, so after a short drive around and not seeing anything interesting to do or see, I decided to go to Starbucks to logon to the Internet and do some blogging. I was in the Starbucks for about 15-2...

My world expanded with one purchase!
Do you remember that feeling when you finally received your passport? You felt like the whole world was accessible to you? It was an object of possibilities. I had a very familiar feeling when I finally bought my first tent.

Praying the next few weeks on the road will bring me clarity.
I feel the closest to God when I’m on the road traveling and in nature. We’ll be getting a lot of quality time together in the weeks to come so perhaps His will for my life will come into focus

There are good guys out there to appeal to them, you need to have something to offer.
I'm a Christian and I'm on Tinder. Ten years ago my online dating experience was atrocious. As a different person with a new approach I'm trying again. Sharing my experiences and advice.

I only had a few hours to spend on the trails but had an absolute blast. Very well maintained trails, well marked, and a total blast. A must stop for MTB!

I'm a military member and every time I've come to the Springfield RMV I've received the most excellent service. Military members often have complicated situations and the folks here do the research and make things happen.
