Say "Kalimera", say "Cyprus Breakfast" #Anemi Hotel ‪#‎Cyprus‬

After six successful months of project activities, 16 hotels are now offering an authentic Cyprus Breakfast, and a total of 40 hotels hope to get involved during 2015.We are very proud that the Anemi Hotel Apartments is one of the first hotels to participate in the Cyprus Breakfast scheme.

Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) has announced that the “Cyprus Breakfast” initiative to promote local food products will branch out island-wide from next week.
Launched in Pafos and Polis last year the initiative has proven to be extremely popular and successful, and the CTO is now expected to meet with hotel representatives to discuss if they are able to implement the initiative at this stage, according to Savvas Maliotis, the scheme’s programme coordinator.

There has been great enthusiasm from the hoteliers in promoting local gastronomy; the project has been so successful that it will continue into next season, with more hotels committed to participating.
Tourists staying at the hotels have also demonstrated there is a demand for the Cyprus Breakfast: survey results show that it had a positive impact on their overall experience, increasing their satisfaction with their stay at the hotel.

Providing tourists with traditional local tastes, the breakfast will support local agri-food businesses and help the move towards a more sustainable local system of procurement.

** The ‪#‎Tombs‬ of the ‪#‎Kings‬ (Kato Paphos) **

DID YOU KNOW:
The Tombs of the Kings date back to the 4th century BC and have been classified as a ‪#‎UNESCO‬ ‪#‎World‬ ‪#‎Heritage‬ Site. As the name wrongly suggest, these tombs have been the burial sites of Paphitic aristocrats and high officials up to the third century AD and in fact no kings where actually buried here. The name Tombs of the Kings actually refers to the magnificence of the tombs.
