Anyone have any ideas on the potential of Google penalizing sites for rel=author spam? I've seen a few articles addressing sites that give authorship to almost every page they publish, but there hasn't been any talk about repercussions for doing so.
It would seem to me that penalties will eventually be the case. Authorship is used best when attributing meaningful and useful content to it's creator. Not putting your face next to every page on your site.
