'Welcome Home' to our #LoretoAbbeyDalkey volunteers! The team spent two weeks building homes alongside local families in the community of Twapia, Zambia. THANK YOU for your fundraising efforts, and hard work on site. Your support is providing a hand-up to people like Elizabeth Zimba, an inspiring woman, who moved into her Habitat home in Twapia before Christmas: http://bit.ly/2tNlfco

It’s #InternationalWidowsDay. For women in many countries the loss of a husband means not just losing a loved one, but losing their home and social status. Rarely aware of their land rights, these women can become victims of property grabbing from male relatives, leaving themselves and their children vulnerable and without security.

Thanks to the generosity of Irish Aid, #ElectricAid, and our supporters, Habitat for Humanity works to empower widows in Zambia through housing, water and sanitation, HIV/AIDS and gender-based violence support services, participation in advocacy, and training in land rights and inheritance planning.

Please donate today to ensure equitable development and human rights for vulnerable women and children in Zambia:http://bit.ly/2rWU8Nq

Conflict forces thousands of families to flee for their lives each day. Today, on #WorldRefugeeDay, we commemorate the strength, courage and perseverance of the millions of displaced people and families around the world.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Habitat for Humanity is able to work with refugees every day in countries like Lebanon and Macedonia – helping people to improve their living situation and build a brighter future. #WithRefugees
