Laura Fries has a decade of experience in social media, managing platforms, communities and online publishing at The Home Depot, Turner Broadcasting and Creative Loafing.
Under the pseudonym "Lady Rogue," Laura ran rogueApron, whose flash-mob dinner parties have been featured on CNN, NPR, Washington Post, ReadyMade, Atlanta Magazine, and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Later offshoots of the series include the Lady Rogue Business Network meetups for DIY entrepreneurs and the growBot Garden project from the Public Design Workshop at Georgia Tech.
Laura holds a Master of Science in Digital Media from Georgia Tech. She graduated magna cum laude from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both History and Sociology. Early life achievements include a National Merit Scholarship, a Poynter Reporting & Writing Fellowship, and the Philip K. Detweiler prize for Excellence in Historical Writing.
