The food here is not bad. It's not authentic Thai but still fine. What I don't like about here is the service from the young guy with glasses. He treated other tables well, but he did not do it for mine. The service was slow and when I asked for the check, he talked to me in an impolite tone and handed me the check by sliding it on my table. I'm not being sensitive, I have been here many times and the service from this guy is not good. I would like to ask them to educate their waiter.

I eat here at least once a week, and it is great Thai. Some have complained about the spiciness of the food, but most Thai is spicy. You can choose anywhere between 1 and 10 to create your own spice level. I have always thought the food is top notch, although you have to remember that this is a "hole in the wall" place. Speaking of that, the inside is not going to be fancy. And service may be hit-or-miss because the owner's family work as the servers, and some are better at it than others. That being said, I've never had anyone be rude to me--actually quite the opposite. If you like Thai food and can do without fancy trappings, this is a place you should check out.

I tried the jungle curry and .... "Welcome to the jungle.......". The soup and egg rolls were also excellent. Very reasonably priced as well. My meal was prepared as a 5 on the spicy scale (1-10) and it was hot. I could not stop eating it though. Can't wait to stop again.

If you want unlimited mediocre Thai food this might be a good place for you (lunch buffet). I would rather enjoy my Thai food though, and this place was a disappointment. The Tom Kah soup tasted like rotten fish, and the Yellow Curry was still only mediocre. Thai Orchids in LaVista is the best Thai restaurant in Omaha, and if you do not agree, you are wrong.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the metro, spicy level 10 means spicy level 10. As for the service? Simply the best. I left my credit card once and it was a few months before I was able to make it back. had no idea where I had left it so just cancelled my card and moved on. Guy came over to take our order and brought the card with him. With a wink he said I should be more careful with it.

I've had Thai in many cities, including Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco, and I still have to say I love this place. Not only do we go back there every time we're in Omaha, but we've been known to make excuses to visit Omaha just to go here for Thai. We love it, our kids love it, and the owners are wonderful. Highly, highly recommended.
