Community Housing Capital has launched a new website. The updated website includes improved content structure with information that is easy to find and drop-down menus for both mobile and desktop. There is a new video and project gallery and if you haven't met all of CHC's staff, find the "Meet Our Staff" link under "About Us." There are a host of other small changes but we designed it all with you in mind, so if you have any feedback, we hope to hear from you. https://communityhousingcapital.org

From the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University:

For American renters, 2013 marked another year with a record-high number of cost burdened households - those paying more than 30 percent of income for housing. In the United States, 20.7 million renter households (49.0 percent) were cost burdened in 2013. This includes 11.2 million (26.5 percent) with severe cost burdens, paying more than half of income for housing.

Click the shaded areas of the map to see housing cost burdens at the metro and micro level, including burden rates by household income category.
