Have you ever bought something and then noticed in the retailers next flyer that the item is now on sale? If you're a bargain shopper like me, you know it can be maddening. But fortunately many major retailers will happily offer you a price adjustment within a set period of time.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

I once saw a bumper sticker that said, "Why worry, when you can trust?" Worry or anxiety, is one of the biggest problems that most Christians face. We worry over things that we have no control over. We worry that we will not measure up. We worry about what the future holds. Instead of fretting about what could happen, we need to humbly submit to God's leading, and trust in Him to make things turn out for the best. – Commentary by Mary Frances Morden

Today’s Prayer,
Heavenly Father, we ask that you grant us the faith to hand our worries over to You, and trust in You for the best outcome. Amen.

For the world, so-called “peace of mind” is often associated with a large bank account full of money, an extravagant house, or car sitting in the driveway of the most exclusive subdivision. However, true “peace of mind” comes from the Lord, it is “spiritual.” By this I mean, it is not based on “circumstances” but on the Presence of Christ within us (Phil. 4:4-7). So today try not to let your peace of mind be dictated by your possessions, your status, or even the people around you but by your faith and love for Jesus Christ. – Commentary by Francis Fabregas

This is the upcoming home of the Short Pump Wegmans, TJ Maxx, etc. Currently, Cabela's has opened. For those that aren't familiar, it's an upscale version of the Bass Pro Shops. This shopping plaza will also house other shops, housing, etc. It's conveniently located near interstates 288 & 295. Short Pump continues to grow! I'm looking forward to all the new additions.

There's a laid back atmosphere here with low lighting which provides a great ambience. It's located nearby the Davidson College campus, so it's a short walk depending upon where you're at on the campus. This is a great place for families to have a meal when visiting their student. They have lots of choices and great prices during lunch. The prices during dinner aren't bad either. They have homemade pizza, soup of the day, and beer on tap. Even if you're short on time, this is still a great place to go for lunch. I highly recommend it if you're in Davidson or the Charlotte area.

This is my go to mall should I not be able to find an item at the other mall locations. I've shopped at this mall for many years and recall when it was at its peak and the go to mall like Short Pump Town Center. Over the years, people tend to go to the newer malls when they open. Many stores have come and gone from This location but they still have a wide variety of stores for everyone from sports specialty shops, shoes stores, Old Navy, Macy's, etc.

The newest mall in Richmond. There's a variety of stores and restaurants available. It's nearby housing developments and business office Please pack your patience on the weekends as it is very crowded. It's not as crowded when it's cloudy or rainy. Rather than shopping, some people are here to window shop while others come for brunch, lunch or dinner and then to "hang out" at the mall like the teens. There's free wifi at the mall and many of the store locations. There's a comedy club, Funny Bone, for those interested and Hyatt and nearby Hilton for travelers. Don't forget about the restaurant offerings outside of the mall and nearby. There's easy on and off access to interstates 64, 295, and 288.

Next to Footlocker, it's one of the few chain athletic stores available in the area. I'm able to find the latest fashion in sneakers and athletic wear. Being a smaller store, sizes, colors, and styles aren't as plentiful. You're able to access their website to see if your size and color are available at this location or in the area before driving here. They have great sales all the time which is always a plus.

The service is hit or miss nowadays. There seems to be a high turnover rate and the current employees have no lack or concern for the customers. It takes a long time to get waited on even when they're not busy and even longer to receive your overcooked food. It would be nice if the chef was consistent but there's definitely nothing constant at this location.

The staff weren't friendly and my food was cold although I had to wait about 10 minutes. I'm not really sure what happened there. The all natural lemonade isn't all natural. It's a powered mix put into water. It tasted like it was diet drink with a weird after taste. With family at the nearby hospital, I was hoping for more than a vending machine or hospital cafeteria. Hoping this was a fluke and they were having an off day!
