Food is good, but it takes forever. No matter what part of the day, no matter what dish u order, it takes long time for food to come out. :-/

Oh my god. Oh dear god. How can I thank the gods for leading me to Xi'an?!? My best friend was visiting from Louisiana and we were walking around Chinatown looking for food. For some reason we ended up at Xi'an, and our lives were changed for the better. The food is cheap, and the portions are large. Get the spicy cumin lamb noodles/soup. I'm not going to try to embellish this tale. Just go and see for yourself.

Tiny hole in the wall (literally) place for cheap noodle soups, spicy noodles and lamb, and Chinese burgers. There's only one small table inside. Probably more of a take out place, but delicious.

This is a hole in the wall restaurant with well-prepared noodle dishes. I had the cumin lamb noodle meal and was very impressed. The spice was subtle and the lamb was well seasoned. The noodles have a great home-made taste. We sat right in front of Xi'an, at a picnic table. The restaurant is located in the middle of the Greenpoint Industrial area.

Came in just before closing and had the cold buckwheat noodles and the lamb dumplings. Some of the best noodles I've ever had, and for just five bucks. Can't wait to go again.
